Aeromanagement Europe offers many services that are very specialized and highly technical using state of the art equipment. AME operates two aircraft equipped with the latest technology available for mapping, environmental protection, as well as surveying. The largest, a Learjet 35A, is equipped with an array of equipment, both for navigation and for surveying.

The Learjet 35A, widely known around the world for its performance, has been modified to allow to fly missions in any kind of weather everywhere in the world. Its navigation package includes a Honeywell UNS-1F Flight Management System, with a 12-satellite GPS receiver, a Honeywell IRS with a 9-satellite GPS receiver, a Ground Proximity Warning System, and a Cockpit Voice Recorder. These units make flying in the most impervious areas safer and easier. Learjet has built over 670 models of the 35A, which have been used, and still are, by many military forces not only for personnel transport, but also for missions that require versatility, endurance as well as speed.

The Telaer Project

The aircraft has been modified in cooperation with Alenia Spazio S.p.A. and Telespazio S.p.A., two of the leading Italian aerospace companies. Alenia has developed this airplane for the Telaer project, which is a project funded by the Italian government to supply a viable means of monitoring the environment.

This project includes two aircraft, similarly equipped but very different in size and performance; the Learjet 35A, and the Vulcan Air AP68TP-600 (Viator). The latter is a 6,600 lbs an Italian-built, high-wing turbo prop aircraft, which is perfect for missions up to 12,000 ft., where the larger Learjet would prove not very efficient or cost effective.

Both airplanes are equipped to conduct different missions, from flying a simple area-mapping mission, to responding to catastrophic event, such as large maritime oil spills, or earthquakes.

The Learjet, exclusively managed by AME, is based in Rome.

The Learjet 35A has been used for many years for specialized missions and it has been proven to be a reliable and stable platform for any kind of surveying operation. What makes AME’s Learjet different is the amount of highly sophisticated equipment installed and available to AME’s clients for a wide variety of missions.

This aircraft has undergone a ten-year modification process, which has completely reconfigured the cabin by installing racks and equipment. Various companies, including the manufacturer, have contributed to this modification and support the installed equipment.
