Our company has been involved in several special projects that have required specific experience and knowledge.

Over the years, we have been asked to develop and manage a number of projects that have allowed our company to explore different fields of the aviation world and gain the experience and understanding that are now applied to our every day business relationships.

In 1991 Aeromanagement Group was invited to participate, by a major Italian aerospace company, in the bidding process to provide an aircraft suitable to be used as a platform for certain special mission flights. We were awarded the contract in early 1992, and, since then, we have worked on the project.

This project, sponsored by the Italian government, required the purchase and subsequent operation of a Learjet 35A. Our Research & Development department, in cooperation with a number of different engineering companies, developed a "special mission" modification package, which took many months to complete.

The airplane is equipped with a FLIR camera, dual mapping cameras installation, a video camera, a scanner, a SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar), and several recording units.

Our flight department flight tested the airplane for each certification and supervised the installation of the equipment.

We have also been in charge of the subsequent EASA certification of the aircraft and its modifications and installations. This aircraft is now capable to fulfill practically any surveying mission possible; its navigation equipment (it has a 12-channel GPS, a detachable differential GPS, an IRS, and an Universal flight management system, plus GPWS and CVR) allows worldwide all-weather operation.

The experience gained by our company during this process has proven extremely important not only for the success of this project, but it has given us a very broad knowledge of the aviation world and its many aspects that we have been able to apply to the every day business of assisting our clients.
